The unmistakable symbol of Malta, a place with ancient history, has become an iconic part of Malta’s heritage and culture over the course of hundreds of years. Most commonly associated with the Knights of Malta, the symbol is now used on anything from coins to the logo of different organizations and institutions internationally.

Following a successful debut in 2023, the 2024 edition of the Maltese Cross has been expanded to include more coin variants, such as one with a silver proof-like finish and two with a gold bullion finish. The 2024 release features a slight design modification aimed at enhancing collectability and reduced premiums to widen its market range. The Maltese Cross is well on its way to becoming the latest significant international bullion coin.
